At just 18 years old, Mónica Mendes left Portugal to follow a dream. Football took her far beyond the place she called home, leading her through different countries, cultures, teams and challenges. What followed was an international professional football career built not only on talent, but on resilience, hard work and the willingness to keep growing.

Every new chapter demanded something different. To adapt. To believe. To get back up. To keep moving, even when the path ahead was uncertain.

That mindset became more than part of her career. It became a way of life.
